Mobile app development — product-led work for iOS, Android and hybrids
What you get
-
Native or hybrid app, shipped to both stores
iOS via App Store, Android via Google Play, plus Huawei AppGallery if the audience needs it. We pick native (Swift, Kotlin) or hybrid (React Native, Flutter) based on what the product is, not on what we like building this month.
-
Backend API and admin panel
Most app development engagements in Azerbaijan stall because the backend is treated as an afterthought. We design the API, the database, and the operator-facing admin panel as first-class deliverables, not bolt-ons.
-
Auth, payments and notifications wired in
Phone-OTP via local providers, card payments via local acquirers where required, push notifications via Firebase or APNs. Tested with real Azerbaijani phone numbers and real test cards before launch.
-
Store submission and review pass
App icon, screenshots, AZ/EN/RU descriptions, privacy policy, age rating, App Tracking Transparency. We submit, handle the rejections (there are always rejections), and ship the public release.
-
Crash reporting and analytics
Sentry for crashes, a privacy-respecting product-analytics layer, alert rules so the team knows about a problem before users do.
How we approach it
1. Product discovery
Two weeks of scoping: who uses the app, on which devices, in what network conditions, with which payment habits. We agree the v1 surface — what ships, what waits.
2. Design and prototype
Interactive Figma prototype that runs on real phones. Usability tested with five real users in the target audience before any production code is written.
3. Build in two-week iterations
Each iteration ships a working TestFlight and internal-track APK. The product owner sees real software every two weeks, not status slides.
4. Hardening and store submission
The last two weeks are exclusively for bugs, edge cases, store assets and submission. We do not ship v1 on the same day we finish the last feature.
5. Post-launch month
Crash triage, store-review responses, the inevitable hotfix release. We include 30 days of post-launch engineering in every mobile app development engagement.
When not to hire us for this
- Your idea is really a website — a responsive web app on iOS Safari and Android Chrome will serve 80% of cases at 20% of the cost, and we will tell you if that is your case.
- You want a mobile app to validate an idea you have not sold once — validate with a landing page or pilot first; a 12-week build is the wrong validation tool.
- You need it in four weeks for a fixed deadline — mobile app development is 8–16 weeks minimum, store reviews alone burn a week.
- Budget is below 20,000 AZN — at that level we cannot ship something we will put our name on; you are better served by a no-code MVP.
Work from this service
-
A modular POS and ERP product of our own — 10+ live clients
Writing an ERP from scratch for every client wasn't economically sane. We built our own modular, customisable POS / ERP — sales, inventory, accounting, reporting in one system. Customised and deployed for dozens of clients.
-
We moved traditional accounting fully to a mobile app
Small-business accounting ran on paper, physical office visits, and email. We digitised the entire service flow — invoices, tax returns, and document exchange all on the phone.
-
Ticketing infrastructure for the country's main event platform
iTicket.az sells tickets for concerts, theatre, and sport across Azerbaijan. We worked on product design and engineering — seat selection, QR tickets, payment gateway, and the operational backend that has to survive a sales spike.
Frequently asked questions
How much does mobile app development cost in Baku?
A real production app — iOS, Android, backend, admin panel, payments — starts around 25,000 AZN and typically lands in the 40,000–90,000 AZN range. Quotes substantially below that almost always exclude the backend or the second platform.
How long does it take to build a mobile app?
Eight to sixteen weeks for a v1, depending on scope. Apps with payments, complex auth, or live operator backends sit at the longer end. We refuse engagements that promise four weeks.
Should I build native or hybrid?
Hybrid (Flutter or React Native) if the app is mostly forms, lists and content — most business apps. Native if the app needs heavy device integration, AR, complex animation, or top-tier performance. We make the call after the discovery phase, not before.
Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?
Yes, end to end. Apple developer account setup, Google Play Console, screenshots, store copy in AZ/EN/RU, review responses. The first submission almost always gets rejected for something — we handle that round, included in scope.
Will I own the source code?
Yes. Source code lives in your git account from day one — not ours. On final invoice you have full commercial ownership of the iOS and Android source, backend, and design files.
