Customer app for a major electronics retail chain

Ağa Electronics is one of the country's better-known electronics chains. We built the customer app — catalogue, search, ordering, delivery tracking, store locator — designed for everyday product browsing rather than a single-purchase flow.

Starting point

Electronics retail is a long-tail product category with technical specs that matter. A customer app that hides them, or that loads specs only after a tap deep into a flow, loses people. The brief was to build something a customer would actually use to compare and decide, not just to checkout once.

Customer apps in this category live or die on browsing quality. If the customer can't compare two laptops without four taps and a wait, they default to a different channel.

Decisions

  1. Search and filtering treated seriously — by spec, not just by category.
  2. Live inventory across stores — "in stock at Ganja" beats "call us".
  3. Delivery tracking from order to door.
  4. Store locator with opening hours — the offline channel is still big in this category.
  5. Comparison view as a first-class feature — two or three products side by side, specs aligned.

Execution

Native iOS and Android, backed by a fast catalogue API. Search uses an inverted index rather than a database LIKE — results return in milliseconds.

Catalogue API tuned for the spec-comparison case — filters return instantly, comparison view loads without spinners.

“If a customer can't compare two laptops in three taps, they're not on your app anymore.”

Result

  • A customer app used for browsing, not only checkout.
  • Search and filtering that respect how customers actually shop electronics.
  • Live inventory across stores integrated end to end.
  • App used as a research tool, not only as a checkout — repeat-engagement up.

let's talk.
